Welcome to Pallishree, a brand that celebrates the rich heritage of Indian handlooms and weaving culture. I am Annwesa , the co-founder of Pallishree, and it brings me great pleasure to introduce you to our brand.

 

Growing up, I was always fascinated by the beauty of the saris worn by my mother .Each sari seemed to tell a story, with its unique colors, patterns, and intricate detailing. had always dreamt of gifting me saris from all the states of India, each sari to represent the beauty and artistry of the place it came from. As I started my journey to explore the weaves of all the states, I never imagined that it would take me on such an emotional and inspiring journey. But what started as a personal quest soon turned into a mission to make a difference in the lives of the weavers I met along the way.

 

As I traveled through different states, I was struck by the beauty and intricacy of the weaves, but also by the struggles of the weavers themselves. Many were living in poverty and facing a difficult future, despite their immense talent and skill. It was clear that something needed to be done to support them and preserve their traditional art forms.

 

And so, Pallishree was born. The name itself embodies the essence of the villages of India - the petrichor, or the sweet earthy smell that rises after the first rain. Pallishree represents the beauty and resilience of these communities, and our mission is to empower them through the art of weaving.

 

Our mission is simple: to bring the beauty and craftsmanship of India's handlooms and weaving culture to the world. We work with skilled artisans from across India who use traditional weaving techniques to create each sari by hand. We use only the finest fabrics,  silks to delicate cottons, and each sari is adorned with meticulous labor and love.

 

At Pallishree, we believe that tradition and innovation can go hand in hand. We strive to bring a contemporary touch to our designs, with bold colors and modern silhouettes that make each sari as relevant today as it was centuries ago.

 

Our hope is that when you wear a Pallishree sari, you feel not just the beauty of the fabric and design, but also the rich history and culture that went into creating it. Each sari tells a story of the skilled artisans who crafted it, the regions of India it represents, and the timeless beauty of Indian handlooms and weaving techniques.
